Google Street View Chicken

So, I was sent on a wild bantha chase by AOL today to find ridiculous Google Street View images. They had specified their own crazies, but I found this while traveling through a town. I don't understand why it is there.

Huh? Why? A big chicken in a park. For what reason...why...what would be the point...is there an explanation as to...a chicken...? I just don't understand...
